Most Common Types of Soul Mates
Romantic Soul Mates
Romantic soul mates are rarer than people believe.You see, a large part of coming to this world is having the freedom to make our own choices and live through the experiences those choices bring. Having a pre-destined partner removes some of the ability to make choices in that matter. Souls that choose to have a pre-destined relationship are usually the ones that have a lot of experience in relationships in previous lives and are now trying the world in this new way to see what experiences it can bring.
The rarest of romantic soul mates are the souls that have become so connected and in love in The Spirit World that they choose to spend many, if not all, lives together. These are usually extremely old souls that have experienced many, many lives and are fine tuning their understanding of our world more than just experiencing it on a base level. These relationships tend to come later in life and can be a bit shocking to the people experiencing them. Such an intense connection can be both amazing and confusing at the same time.
Soul Families
Soul family members frequently come into lives as family member in the living world as well. Some souls will also repeat lives in the same physical family over multiple generations. For example, a grandfather may reincarnate as his own grandchild to stay with and continue growing with the people in that family.
Physical families have such a huge impact on how we learn to see and experience the world. Is it any wonder souls would choose those roles to fill?
Friend Soul Mates
The most common type of soul mates are the ones that come into our world through friendships. Some of these stay with us throughout our lives and some come in for a short period and leave again. Just there to assist in a small section of learning.
Some of these soul mates come from our soul families. Some are souls who are just aligned with our current lessons and are able to help. The spirit team and I do consider them soul mates as they are not in your life at random. Those these are also more likely to be a part of your broader soul family and not the smaller intimate groups.
They could be anyone. A childhood best friend. A teacher that helped you find a talent you didn’t know you had. A co-worker that you find yourself close with. Anyone you feel a strong connection with.
Opposing Soul Mates
This type of soul mate is by far the hardest to understand and experience. There are a couple of ways this one can feel. One way is that person you know isn’t good for you, but you feel so drawn to them and you can’t figure out why. Another is simply someone in your world that you have an extreme hatred for and you can’t pinpoint why. That person that just gets on your nerves even though there doesn’t seem to be a logical reason why.
This type of soul mate agrees to be someone in your life that you can’t stand for a very good reason. By experiencing them and seeing so much of what we don’t like about them and their life, we are better able to define what we do want in our lives and what we will and won’t allow. But that does not mean these relationships are good to keep around. Growing beyond them is a very important part of the lessons for these types of soul mates.
Unfortunately, a lot people will feel the pull of opposing soul mates and attempt a friendship or even romantic relationship with them. This leads to some terrible situations for both involved. If either of the people believe in soul mates and understands the connection it could lead to them staying in the toxic relationship longer than they should for fear that they were “meant to be” with this person and may not find another partner with such a strong connection.
If you are in a situation like this, PLEASE understand that you are never meant to stay in a toxic relationship from Spirit’s standpoint. Just because someone may be a soul mate, it does NOT give them the right to hurt, belittle, use or abuse you in any way. They are not your only option, and you will not be without love for the rest of your life if you choose to leave. In fact, staying with them or continuing to reunite with them over and over can and will prevent you from the growth that will lead to your ultimate happiness.
Animal Soul Mates
Oh! Almost forgot a fun one! Soul mates aren’t always in human form. Souls can come in the form of animals too.
