Our Dear Friends,
It is time again for a message from your sarcastic but friendly team on the other side. June is here which means you are halfway through your lunar year. Good for you all! You’ve made it through some of the biggest energetic changes of 2023. While we won’t say it's all downhill from here, because some of you are continuing to make it more of a struggle than it needs to be, you should all be in a better place to feel you have your footing on solid ground again. And Congrats! You’ve leveled up!
Last night we had some fun with Angie and were a part of a rather interesting dream she had.
Have you ever played Mario Kart? If not, we’ll explain. There's a bunch of adorable cartoon characters in customized cartoon cars, zooming around a topsy, turvy racetrack as fast as they can with the hopes of being the first one over the finish line. Those who have played the game know that along the way you collect items and can find hidden passages to help you obtain that goal of being first in the race if you are observant enough to notice them.
Well. Angie was in the middle of a dream about a lesson she is actively trying to finish. Even in the dream she was intently focused on reaching the end of that dream and learning what is needed to complete that part of her journey. She was sooo ready to be done with it and move on to the relief of what is to come next.
But in her dream, she opened a door and found herself in that world of crazy, chaotic Mario Kart racing. Generally annoyed at the interruption to her achieving her goal, she jumped into one of the cars with the sole intent of making it to the finish line as quickly as possible. Around the first curve she spotted a shortcut. One she had never seen before, so she veered off track and into the new landscape with hope and excitement.
Sure enough, the shortcut led to a pretty amazing end. She collected a prize and was given the option to win the game without having to race any further. An option she quickly accepted so she could move back into the other dream and get on with her goals.
But then another screen came up. One that shows all the available prizes you could win on the course and highlighted which ones she had won and which were still available. Choosing to cut her race so short had lost her many valuable things she would have otherwise had the chance to obtain. Now her only options were to move on without those things or start the race again to try and get them.
For Angie, and we hope for you, this dream was pretty clear.
So many of you have clear, non-shakable goals you have decided you want/need in your life in order to find happiness. Goals are absolutely wonderful. Do not take us wrong on that. But if you are focused only on one thing (the race) and getting to that one specific goal you believe will provide you happiness (the finish line) you miss out on so many wonderful opportunities that could make the journey far more fun and possibly even provide more happiness than the goal you actually have in mind.
No lesson, no journey, no experience is ever only about one thing. As you move through them, they will weave in bits and pieces of everything you are learning and experiencing in this life. But only if you are willing to see past your blinders and allow yourself to expand. That space of being on your way but not yet there is where the greatest potential for any human being actually lies. Not at the end of the goal. For there are always more goals you’ll want to obtain.
It’s the getting there, not the being at the end of it that its actually all about.
So our advice for the next few months is simple.
Make sure you aren’t so focused on the finish line that you overlook all the wonderful things you have the chance to experience along the way.
Oh and please stop shooting silly weapons at each other to throw each other off track. Life is not a competition. There is more than enough to go around, and you do not need to attack each other to get ahead. There will always be people ahead of you and some behind you. That does not make them better or worse than you. For you are all here to experience life at different speeds and it's only your belief that you need to compare yourselves to each other that makes you feel inferior. The truth is you could learn a lot from every one of them if you let go of the belief that you need to hate them and allow yourself to see the world from their point of view too. Your need to attack is on you. Not on them.
Life is only a game. Meant to fun and enjoyable. Treat it like such will you? And do try and be a good sport about it. That’s who you meant yourself to be and who your human team needs you to be.
And as always. Know that your spiritual pit crew loves you
and we are always cheering you on!
