Upright Meaning

Keywords:

Will Power – Triumph – Determination – Success – Movement – Action – Victory

Overcoming Obstacles – Proving Oneself – Motivation – Courage – Travel Guided by Spirit

As a Person:

The Chariot is someone who is taking his life in his own hands. He has realized he is the only one responsible for getting himself where he wants to be. He is focused and determined to do so. He is moving forward with action but not forcing anything. He is using gentle means and his own will and knowledge to guide himself as he drives his life to where he wants it to be.

As a Situation/Experience:

This is a time of action. It is a time of taking responsibility for your own life path. The situation is ready to move full speed ahead and is asking you to take control and guide it to victory. The spirit world has your back. Though there may be obstacles in your path they are ready to help you through them. Nothing can hold you back at this time. Your call to move forward is too strong.

As Advice:

Go for what you want. Do not be passive. Do not cut corners. Be courageous. Use your willpower to allow it to happen naturally and do not try to force control over anything. Just guide it and believe in it. Victory is on its way as long as you don’t hold yourself back.

Reversed Meaning

Keywords:

Lack of Motivation – Lack of Direction – Fear – Stagnation – Change of Direction

As a Person:

The Chariot reversed is someone who is lacking direction. He wants to move forward with life but doesn’t want to put in the work to do so. He acts powerless even though all he needs to do is take responsibility and stand up to his own fear. His life is stagnant, and he acts and reacts accordingly.

As a Situation/Experience:

This is a situation that doesn’t feel like it is moving. The wheels just seem to be spinning no matter how much you try to get it to move. It has no direction and too many possibilities to know where to even begin. Obstacles may be holding you back because you believe you cannot conquer them. You do not have faith that this situation is able to right itself without some kind of external help.

As Advice:

Back off. Stop trying to make anything happen. Just let it be. You may need to change direction of what you want but first you need to take a long look at the situation and discover the best path to move forward on. Believe that any obstacles are only temporary. You have backed yourself against a wall and they are there to help move you back on course.
