Upright Meaning
Keywords:
Sudden Change – Unexpected Change – Chaos – Upheaval – Spiritual Awakening
Shaking up of foundation – Clearing Out Old Energy – Exposing What is False
As a Person:
As a person, The Tower card represents someone who is walking chaos. They refuse to address their emotions until they reach their highest point and explode out from them. Their personality is hard to pinpoint as they seem to fundamentally change who they are on a regular basis. Almost as if they are trying on other personalities to see if they fit and then discarding them as soon as they decide they don’t like them. They are blunt and often don’t even notice the hurt they spread with their words and actions. They like to stir up trouble and create chaos in the world as they believe this is needed for the world to change.
As a Situation/Experience:
As a situation, The Tower card reminds us that all things must change in order for life, and you, to grow and continue forward. This is a time of sudden and sometimes unexpected change. But the kind of change that shakes you to your core and you can’t go back to who you were now that it has happened.
As Advice:
The Tower card may seem like a harsh card and at times it is definitely uncomfortable to live through. But the energy of this card is actually working for us and not against us. It helps us to see through things in our life that are not as solid, healthy or positive for us as we may believe. This allows us to move forward and find a version of it that actually is. But first we must see through what has been holding us back. Feel free to grieve if you need to but know that this is happening for the better, whether it feels like it or not.
Reversed Meaning
Keywords:
Personal Transformation – Fear of Change – Averting Disaster – Making Adjustments Resisting Change – Delaying the Inevitable
As a Person:
The Tower reversed represents someone who either is going through a time of personal transformation or needs to. We all need to learn from our experiences but this person seems to avoid doing so at all costs. They resist change and tend to delay the inevitable until they absolutely can’t ignore it any longer. Personal, internal transformation is what they need in order to move forward with their life. They must stop holding themselves back and make the needed adjustments to allow change to be more comfortable and natural part of life.
As a Situation/Experience:
As a situation, The Tower reversed is a time of personal growth and transformation. It is in internal sort of shaking up. Where you are purposefully looking at old wounds, behaviors, and belief systems and making the needed adjustments to help yourself become who you want to be.
As Advice:
The Tower reversed advises us to stop delaying the inevitable. Things need to change and you can either be a willing part of that change or keep pushing it off until it becomes something that happens to you instead. The choice is yours. Now is the time to reflect on the behaviors and belief systems you hold and re-think them. They are not helping you but holding you back.
